Live Phenomenal Lavender Plant — Farm-Grown in Sequim, WA

Meet the toughest lavender in our fields. Phenomenal is the variety we recommend to gardeners who've lost lavender plants before — it shrugs off humid summers, harsh winters, and the root rot that takes down other varieties. Grown right here on our small family farm in Sequim, Washington — the Lavender Capital of North America.

What you're getting:

  • 1 live Phenomenal lavender plant in a 4" pot
  • Healthy, established starter plant grown outdoors at our farm
  • Variety: Lavandula × intermedia 'Phenomenal' (French hybrid / Lavandin)

Why Phenomenal?

  • Cold-hardy to USDA Zone 5 — survives winters that kill other varieties
  • Humidity and disease resistant — a top pick for the South, Midwest, and East Coast where lavender often struggles
  • Big, vigorous plant with classic silver-gray foliage and tall violet-blue flower spikes
  • Strong fragrance, high oil content — excellent for sachets, bundles, and essential oil
  • Pollinator magnet — bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds love it

Growing details:

  • Mature size: 24–36" tall × 30–36" wide
  • Hardy in USDA zones 5–9
  • Full sun — at least 6 hours daily
  • Bloom: Mid to late summer
  • Drought-tolerant once established
  • Deer and rabbit resistant

On arrival — please read:

Live plants can look stressed after shipping. This is normal. Unbox immediately, place in indirect light for 24 hours, then transition to full sun. Plant in well-draining soil (mix sand or perlite into garden soil — lavender hates wet feet, especially in humid climates). Water deeply once, then let dry out between waterings. More lavenders are killed by overwatering than anything else.

Shipping:

Carefully packaged and shipped from our farm in Sequim, WA. We ship Monday–Wednesday to keep plants out of weekend transit. We do not ship to states with agricultural plant restrictions (please message us if unsure about your state).

Our promise:

We grow every plant ourselves. If your plant arrives damaged, please message us within 3 days with a photo and we'll make it right.
